Our Story

We're not just another coffee company.

CBC was built so every cup, every bean, every event funds real change in communities across Canada and the world.

The model

100% of our profits go to charity. Every cup. Every event.

Community Brew Collective started with a simple idea: exceptional coffee can do more than just taste good. We built CBC as a social enterprise so that every espresso we pull, every subscription bag we deliver, and every event we cater directly funds charities, non-profits, and grassroots organizations.

The model is not complicated. We pay our baristas well, we pay our suppliers fairly, we cover our equipment and operations — and after every bill is settled, every remaining dollar of profit goes back into the community. Our customers vote on which causes get funded each quarter.

That is how a Calgary morning latte ends up funding clean water in Guatemala, mental health support in Calgary, or food banks in Edmonton. The coffee is the vehicle. The impact is the point.

The Coffee

Premium coffee, locally roasted.

We partner with Chronicle Coffee Roasters — one of Calgary's most respected specialty roasters — to private-label our own CBC coffee. Every bag is roasted fresh in Calgary, days before it lands in your office or at your event.

Our beans come from sustainable farms in Colombia, Guatemala, and Ethiopia, sourced through direct-trade relationships. That means farmers earn well above commodity coffee prices and the supply chain stays transparent end to end.

This is not a "good enough" social-enterprise compromise. The coffee is genuinely excellent — and that is the point. The mission only works if you actually want a second cup.

Specialty Grade

85+ cupping score. Top 5% of all coffee produced globally.

Roasted to Order

No sitting on shelves. Days, not months, from roaster to cup.

Direct Trade

Farmers earn above commodity prices. Transparent supply chain.

Three Origins

Colombia for body, Guatemala for clarity, Ethiopia for character.

Community Impact Partners

Our customers vote on the causes.

Every quarter, the CBC community nominates and votes on the charities and grassroots organizations that receive our profits. Anyone can submit a cause. Real change, decided by real people.

The Honest FAQ

The questions everyone asks.

No fluff. The full story behind the model.

CBC is a for-profit social enterprise — not a registered charity or non-profit. We are registered as a business partnership in Alberta. We donate 100% of our bagged coffee profits to charities, non-profits, and grassroots organizations through our Community Impact Partners program in Canada and internationally.

Profit is what is left after all costs are paid — beans, milk, baristas, equipment, delivery, taxes. CBC pays competitive market rates for everything. After all bills are settled, every remaining dollar of bagged coffee profit is distributed to our Community Impact Partners. The model works because we run lean.
